1.       Brain Storming Research Tool

Go to the bottom of this page and click on the Search IT! Link to bring up the researching tool

Step 1: Select Search Type click in the rectangle box, under the KEY WORD CATEGORY choose Brain storming

 

2.      Select Search Type, click in the box or the down arrow to open the sub menu list.  Choose Google Adword Keyword Tool

 

3.      In the third box, enter two to three key words that pertain to one of the interests you wrote down.  Example: one of your passionate key interests is (making ice cream and frozen desserts); you would put in the box (making ice cream or making frozen desserts).  Click the Search It button.  The tool will open up Google’s Adword key word tool.

 

Once you have the key word look up tool open type in those same key words you used into the box and add a lot more one per line.  Example:

·         Making ice cream (your key word, niche, and site theme key word seed)

·         Making chocolate ice cream

·         Making strawberry ice cream

·         Making homemade ice cream

·         Making peach ice cream

·         Etc…

 

Next, click in the box directly below the key word box to get results for only related search terms.  Then enter the letters in the image below the peach colored box then hit search button.

The three key columns you will need to focus on are the Keyword, Competition, and the Global Monthly Searches columns.  These three columns will help you to choose a winning rich key word niche domain that is in demand.

The Keyword column lists the keywords and phrases you listed into the keyword search tool.  In this column look for keywords and phrases that has the same lay out as the seed keyword.  Example, your keywords are ‘making ice cream’ so your keyword phrases should have the same combo like, making ice cream how to, and not (how to make ice cream, making real ice cream).  As you can see in the screen, shot that the seed keyword ‘making ice cream’ has the most global monthly searches so if you do not use the keywords as they are, you could be limiting your target audience.

In the Competition column, you want to use low competition to medium competition keywords and phrases.  If you place the mouse’s cursor over the rectangle box, you should get a pop up notice that will let you know if the keyword or phrase is a low, medium, or high competitive keyword or phrase.  You want to use low to medium competition keywords and phrases only.

 

The example keywords used in this example seems to have very low competition with very good size audience (27, 100 monthly searches).  If you decided to use ‘making ice cream’ as your keyword domain, you would have an excellent chance at dominating this niche.  All the other keywords and phrases could be key web blog pages and topics to drive a lot of targeted free organic web site traffic to your business.

Ok, we have found a winning keyword phrase that could act as our domain name to attract targeted web site visitors wanting to know who to make ice cream.  Your site should give them that and much lot more.

The next thing you should do is to download all the keyword from the list that you think you will use on your web site blog.  Click the far left box on the keyword you want to save.  Remember use only low and medium competition keywords and phrases.  Then click on the down load button above the keyword column.  Save a copy in either .csv or .txt to your computer for easy reference, make sure you get all the important data about the keywords and phrases.

1.       Click in box 1 and scroll to Site Legalities

2.      Click in box 2 and scroll to Trade Mark U.S. if you are in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Australia section for the legalities of your country

3.      Enter your seed keywords and press the Search It button (Example: making ice cream)

 

If you get a web page that says, “No, TESS record found…, this means that it is relatively safe for you to register your seed keyword phrase as your domain name.  If the name were being used for a web site then you would have to use another keyword phrase.  However, you can also register it differently like www.making-ice-cream.com, or www.makingicecream-funandexciting.com, or www.making-ice-cream-healthy-and-delicious.com, or www.makingicecream.com if it was taken and if Trade Marked you would have to change it so you do not infringe on the Trade Mark.  An example might be (www.Ice-Cream-Making-Instructions.com).  Bottom line is to make sure that you are not infringing on anyone’s Trade Marked name and likeness (see our legal assistance home-based business opportunity for a business that can help you with your legal needs – currently for USA and Canada).

In the above example, you can see how the integrity of the keyword phrase was kept enacted to take full advantage of the keyword niche we have found.
